SESSION FOUR:
Self-Compassion + Self-Respect
Your task is not to seek for love,
RUMI
but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
THOUGHT PATTERN IDENTIFICATION + INTERRUPTION (T.P.I.I.):
Identity + Impact (who + why + how), Mental + Emotional Regulation, Gratitude + Acknowledgement
SELF-COMPASSION:
A positive and caring attitude of a person toward her- or himself in the face of failures and individual shortcomings.
THREE-PARTS OF SELF COMPASSION:
Self-Kindness (How am I speaking?)
Common Humanity (Am I the only?)
Mindfulness (Am I aware of my patterns?)
GUILT:
I did something bad.
A realization that your action(s) / choice(s) have not aligned with your attitude towards yourself,
your abilities and your desires for the type of life you willing to create.
SHAME:
I am bad.
An affirmation your action(s) / choice(s) somehow demonstrate to you
and others that you are broken, unable and damaged.
BLAME:
I am unable to process and handle the mental + emotional weight of this situation,
so I look to reduce my pain by blaming another.
This is the hot potato game of pain.
